Trial License Extension
Trial license extensions are available to extend the validity of the initial 40 day trial license. Trial license extensions cannot be requested directly from PaperCut, instead you are required to go through you Copy Monitoring.
To complete this process please submit your request by sending an email to [email protected], with the following information (* notes mandatory field):
* Full Name of Customer (no abbreviation):
* PaperCut Version (MF/NG):
* Reason for Extension:
* Length of Extension:
* Expected Close Date:
* Number of Embeddeds:
* Number of Site Servers:
* Number of Users:
* Name of Reseller:
A Trial and a Temporary license are very similar in that they allow the customer to gain access to a free trial period. The difference is that a temporary license is issued when a customer already has an active PaperCut license, but immediate changes need to be made to their existing license. e.g. A customer may be locked out of using PaperCut for exceeding the number of users they are licensed for, and whilst they work on reducing the number of users, a temporary license can be issued.
A temporary license cannot be requested directly from PaperCut, instead you are required to go through Copy Monitoring by sending an an email to [email protected] outlining the reasons that the temporary license is required.
A license exception is a special license that covers all users in the sync source under the condition that the active user count remains below the official license limit. Exceptions are only issued when the customer, reseller and Copy Monitoring have all agreed that this is the only solution available after performing a set of technical/procedural methods outlined here.
A license exception cannot be requested directly from PaperCut, instead you are required to go through Copy Monitoring by sending a written letter, scanned letter on letterhead, or a formal email from an official customer email address to [email protected] for review by our Technical services teams, once approved we then escalate to PaperCut who will review our Tech Services team’s request.
Please ensure you include as much information to us as possible. Please note that emailing directly to PaperCut will cause delays as the request will be redirected through Copy Monitoring.
NFR License (Not For Resale)
Please do not install NFR licenses at end user sites. Ever! PaperCut comes with a fully functional 40-day trial license when you download. The NFR license may however be installed in multiple showroom locations. So even though you can download only 1 from your reseller portal you can install this in each showroom server if needed.
